Abstract

Comic strip entitled “Damgo Makapabag-o” is a sequence of drawings in boxes that tells us an amusing story about “Knowledge, Attitude, Practices of Public Elementary School Learners on Solid Waste Management”.

Nowadays solid waste management is one of the crucial problems worldwide due to the increasing volume and complexity of waste associated with the modern economy posing a serious risk to ecosystem and human health. Even in schools, neglecting of proper waste segregation and poor solid waste management is evident.  

As an educator we can innovate several learning activities and materials suited to learners that they may use to value the importance of solid waste management in our daily lives. This Comic strip has been developed, to encourage the learners enhance and progress their proper knowledge, attitude and practices in conserving our Mother Nature and school environment from bad habits in solid waste management.

Are you happy if you see a clean and green environment? The key is in your hand. Do you want to be like Miko and Mika in the comic strip? Value the proper waste segregation and disposal. The essential of 3Rs, Reuse, Reduce and Recycle, it’s an efficient way to save the earth and our lives because in nature nothing is wasted.

Holding a Master of Arts in Teaching, she is dedicated to delivering quality education and creating an engaging, learner-centered environment. Her commitment to academic excellence and student development reflects her deep passion for teaching and her vital role in shaping young minds.
