The Road I Almost Quit

Abstract

With only a dream in mind,
I went to school without a second thought.
Wherever my feet would lead me,
They led me to the place where my dreams were sought.

I thought it would be easy,

But I was wrong to say.

Doubts slowly filled my mind,

If I could still endure and stay.

Tears kept falling from my eyes,
Telling myself that it was over.
I slowly lost the hope within me,
“I'm giving up,” I would always say.

But then there were people
Who still believed in me.
I stood up, gathered my courage,
And continued the path I chose.
